Description
The DJI Matrice 30 is a powerful drone that combines the robustness of the Matrice 300 with the compact, foldable design of the Mavic 3.
DJI Matrice 30
The DJI Matrice 30 is equipped with an impressive array of sensors, similar to those of the H20 camera.
The M30 features a 48 MP zoom camera with 16x optical and 200x digital zoom, as well as a 12 MP wide camera .
The Laser Rangefinder has a range of 1200 meters, a feature also found on the DJI Zenmuse H20 camera.
Despite having similar sensors, the M30 is much more compact (from 828 grams for an H20T to 320 grams for the M30 camera).
A Robust Platform
The DJI Matrice 30 is the smaller version of the Matrice 300, offering a powerful and reliable platform despite its compact size.
The M30 has an IP55 rating , meaning it can withstand extreme weather conditions.
The drone operates in temperatures ranging from -20 to +50 degrees Celsius and can endure winds up to 15 m/s.
With a top speed of 23 m/s and extensive sensors, including an FPV camera with a low-light mode, the M30 delivers excellent performance in various conditions.
The drone features full obstacle detection all around, redundant sensors and backup systems, and can perform an emergency landing with three propellers.
Four antennas and the OccuSync 3 video protocol ensure a reliable connection under all conditions.
Foldable Design
The DJI Matrice 30 features a compact and foldable design.
The arms can be folded with a Quick Release system ; when unfolded, they automatically click into place.
To fold the arms, simply press the latch on the arm.
The landing gear is similar to that of the Mavic, with the camera positioned at the front and small feet on the underside.
This reduces the setup time to less than 1 minute.
TB30 Batteries
The DJI Matrice 30 uses the new TB30 batteries.
By using two TB30 batteries simultaneously, the M30 offers redundancy and the ability to hot-swap batteries .
This means you can replace batteries one at a time without restarting the drone, allowing you to continue flying immediately.
The TB30 batteries are made from Lithium Nickel Manganese Cobalt Oxide, providing a minimum of 400 charge cycles.
With two TB30 batteries, the M30 can fly for up to 41 minutes .
Data Security
The DJI Matrice 30 incorporates several data security features from the Matrice 300.
The M30 supports offline updates without an internet connection and offers Local Data Mode and AES encryption for the SD card.
DJI RC Plus
The DJI RC Plus is the new remote controller for the Matrice 30.
This remote is designed for the most demanding pilots and features a 7-inch touchscreen with a brightness of 1200 nits, making the screen easily readable even in bright sunlight.
The RC Plus has an IP54 rating , meaning it is resistant to various weather conditions, including rain.
In addition to the standard joysticks and camera dials, there are six extra buttons next to the screen that can be assigned to different functions.
The RC Plus is powered by a WB37 battery and has an internal battery for continuous operation.
The remote also includes ports for Micro SD, USB, HDMI, and USB-C.
