The DJI Air 3 is the first foldable camera drone with a telephoto camera. The drone has dual cameras with 1/1.3” CMOS sensors, a flight time of 46 minutes, a new O4 video system, omnidirectional obstacle sensing, and support for 10-bit D-Log M and HLG.
Dual Camera
The DJI Air 3 has two cameras: a camera with a wide-angle lens and a camera with a medium telephoto lens (3x optical zoom). Both cameras use a 1/1.3" CMOS sensor.
Photo
The camera can take stunning photos with a resolution of 48 megapixels.
Video
The camera can record videos with a maximum resolution of 4K at 100 frames per second. HDR video recording is also possible, with a maximum frame rate of 60 fps. It is also possible to record 2.7K vertical video, where the camera automatically crops the image for platforms like Instagram or TikTok.
Aperture
The wide-angle camera has a fixed aperture of f/1.7, while the telephoto camera has an aperture of f/2.8.
D-Log and HLG
Both cameras support the 10-bit D-Log M and 10-bit HLG color modes. The 10-bit D-Log M mode preserves more details in highlights and shadows for more flexible editing, while the 10-bit HLG mode offers a higher dynamic range without the need for color correction.
3-Axis Gimbal
The DJI Air 3 is equipped with a 3-axis gimbal. This 3-way (tilt, roll, pan) stabilization technology keeps the camera in the same position even when the drone moves. A gimbal is essential for stable aerial footage.
Omnidirectional Obstacle Avoidance
The DJI Air 3 is equipped with intelligent sensors in all directions. These sensors allow the drone to detect objects around it, such as trees and branches, and use them to avoid potential collisions. This is intelligently controlled by DJI's APAS 5.0 software.
Auto Follow
The Air 3 drone can follow moving objects (people/animals/vehicles) thanks to FocusTrack technology. FocusTrack includes Spotlight, ActiveTrack 5.0, and Point of Interest, allowing the DJI Air 3 to easily follow your subject or circle around it.
Flight Time
A fully charged battery gives you up to 46 minutes of flight time under ideal conditions. This is more than its predecessor, which lasted only 31 minutes
Remote Controller
The DJI Air 3 comes with the DJI RC-N2 remote controller. This remote connects to the drone via DJI's proprietary OcySync 4.0 technology. This connection is stable, reliable, and has a range of several kilometers!
Smartphone
The DJI RC-N2 is compatible with iPhone and Android smartphones. All popular smartphones can be paired with the controller via the included USB Type-C and Lightning cables.
Wireless Live Video
DJI Air 3 features DJI's most advanced O4 (OcuSync 4.0) image transmission technology for a smooth, clear, and reliable video connection.
Weight
The DJI Air 3 weighs 720 grams.
