The CSM radar has been designed by DJI to further enhance the obstacle detection of the DJI Matrice 300 RTK.
This radar uses millimeter wave circular scan technology (CSM) and allows the power of the six internal collision sensors to be increased. Detection is 360° horizontal, 30° vertical and 24° upwards. The accessory must be installed on top of the M300 RTK at the PSDK port for optimal operation.
It greatly improves the safety of the drone on mission because equipped with this module, the M300 RTK can detect thin power lines and branches (if they are in the detection field ~ from 1.5 to 30 meters). The radar sends the radio waves and calculates instantly the time it takes for the wave to return to him and thus determine with precision the distance of the object from the drone.
